What is a Local Pharmaceutical Committee?

A Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC) is a group of dedicated members who represent all NHS pharmacy contractors in their defined locality or area. LPCs are recognised by local NHS Primary Care Organisations and are consulted on local matters affecting pharmacy contractors that they represent and assist.

The LPC for Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster represents in total 138 pharmacy contractors of which 41 are in the Kensington and Chelsea area and 97 are in the Westminster area.

In total we have 11 members in our committee who are representatives of both independent pharmacies and chain pharmacies.

Our mission is to represent the best interests of  community pharmacies in the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster area so that we can provide the support they require to allow them to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical healthcare to the community.
